A brand that slows you down
Pause is a sound and mindfulness studio I co-founded with Aradhana in Santa Clarita, California. We lead sound baths, yoga, and meditation, and make handmade clay instruments for our sessions. As creative director, I shaped the brand from the name up, along with the social presence, marketing graphics, and website. The goal was simple: every touchpoint should feel like the first breath of a session. Calm, warm, and inviting.
Brand Identity and Social
The identity grew out of the practice itself. Soft, earthy color, a relaxed type pairing, and hand drawn doodles that feel made by a person, not a template. We wanted Pause to read as grounded and welcoming, never clinical.
On Instagram, @startwithpause carries that voice into everyday posts: session announcements, sound and breath moments, and glimpses of the clay instruments being made. A consistent grid and a light editorial tone help a young account feel established while it grows a community across the Santa Clarita Valley.
Marketing Graphics and Social
Marketing work brings the brand into physical spaces. For the Venice Yoga Festival we created the Kosha Hunt, a printed passport where guests collected stickers from booths and brought it back to the Pause booth to enter a raffle. Tap points at each booth opened a simple mobile entry form, keeping the experience playful and quick.
Merch, flyers, and event graphics follow the same system. A gold tee carries a Cultivate Connection doodle printed in rust, and every printed piece signs off with Sound and Mindfulness Goods. Each asset is designed to work on a wall, a table, and a phone screen.

Website Design, Development and Interaction
Startwithpause.com is the home base for the studio. I designed and built it in Framer, shaping the structure, pacing, and interactions around one idea: the site should feel like slowing down. Generous spacing, gentle motion, and quiet transitions guide visitors from discovering a session to booking one.
The site also supports the practical side of running a studio, including a client intake form for sound sessions that covers comfort, intentions, and health considerations before anyone arrives. Design, build, and content live in one system, so new events and offerings go live quickly.
